The independent travel money survey was completed on May 11th by Simon Calder a highly respected Travel journalist. Simon is Senior Travel Editor for The Independent, writing a weekly column as well as articles and features. He also writes for Conde Nast Traveller, High Life (BA’s inflight magazine) and Travel Trade Gazette, as well as many other publications.
Simon is regularly interviewed on TV about travel stories and events. He is a frequent guest on BBC Breakfast News, Daybreak, ITV News and, Sky News. He is also the presenter of Fast Track’s Travel Clinic with Simon Calder on BBC World, where he answers holiday questions from viewers.

Christmas has come early to 5 people in Watford who have secured employment at a foreign exchange specialist, with the opening of a new branch.

A poverty-tackling charity had cause to celebrate, when a travel money retailer donated £500,000 to its coffers, with plans to contribute a further £50,000 by the end of the year.
National bureaux de change chain, eurochange, donated £500,000 from its 2010 profits, to Sustain for Life, the official eurochange charity. The significant donation represents the largest gift to charity the company has ever made.

A foreign exchange specialist is set to make getting hold of great value travel money easier for residents of Blackpool, with the long-anticipated relocation of one of its local branches.
National chain, eurochange, has announced the opening of its branch, in Blackpool’s Houndshill Shopping Centre, near the main Victoria Street entrance, on 22nd August.
Having been established in its Birley Street branch for over a decade, eurochange has developed a reputation locally, for great value, on-demand travel money.

A foreign exchange expert is bucking
the economic downturn, by
expanding and moving to new
premises, in Banbury town centre.
After six years operating from its current kiosk,
next to the Tourist Information Centre in Castle
Quay, eurochange is relocating within the
shopping centre, to the larger, former Castle
Flowers unit, this Friday (12th).
The expansion has also created one new full-time
job at the branch, which now employs two
full-time and one part-time member of staff.
