Settlement in Corby dates back to the 8th century when the Vikings invaded. They called the area ‘Kori’s by’ by their leader and the name had evolved to Corbei by 1086.
Corby is also famous for its steelworks. It was known as an iron-working region since the time of the Romans and was used during World War II to develop the pipe line under the sea to transport fuel and goods to the Allied forces.
Nowadays, Corby is home to many businesses of differing industries and has become a hive of activity for both business and leisure. Willow Place Shopping Centre and Queen’s Square is full of great shops, restaurants and more perfect for a great day out for all.
eurochange Corby complements our nearby branch in Kettering and offers a variety of services including international payments, Multi-Currency Cash Passport, selling and buying back over 70 currencies, a market leading Click & Collect service and more.
Upon opening the new Corby branch, Managing Director Giles Custerson said “It’s great to open our new branch in Corby and we’re excited to bring our foreign exchange service to both residents and visitors to the area.”
The opening of the Corby branch has created new jobs in the area – if you’d like to join us and become a foreign exchange expert, check out the current vacancies on our website –it would be great to hear from you!
